Job Description and Duties PARK INTERPRETIVE SPECIALIST (SEASONAL) - NORTHERN BUTTES DISTRICT / CLEAR LAKE SECTOR / CLEAR LAKE STATE PARK Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. Job Description and Duties LIFEGUARD (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) - SAN DIEGO COAST DISTRICT / NORTH SECTOR The reporting location for this position will be at varied locations throughout the North Sector of the San Diego Coast District which could include Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, Torrey Pines State Beach, San Elijo State Beach, South Carlsbad State Beach, or the North Sector Office. This position will work under the general supervision of the Lifeguard Supervisor. The Lifeguard (PI) is responsible for the sector aquatic operations and leadership of the seasonal lifeguard program. The Lifeguard (PI) will respond to aquatic emergencies, calls for first aid and caution visitors of unsafe practices. The position will enforce posted rules and regulations and work interactively with the Peace Officer staff. The position will assist with scheduling, purchasing, fleet maintenance and the recruiting and hiring of seasonal lifeguards. The position will assist with the annual EMS training and may assist with education and outreach. The position requires a uniform and weekend/holiday work. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a valid driver license of the appropriate class issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles, and Possession of (1) a current Department of Parks and Recreation Emergency Medical Responder certificate or equivalent; and (2) a current Department of Parks and Recreation Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED), American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, or equivalent certificate. Job Description and Duties LIFEGUARD (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) - SAN DIEGO COAST DISTRICT / NORTH SECTOR The reporting location for this position will be at varied locations throughout the North Sector of the San Diego Coast District which could include Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, Torrey Pines State Beach, San Elijo State Beach, South Carlsbad State Beach, or the North Sector Office. This position will work under the general supervision of the Lifeguard Supervisor. The Lifeguard (PI) is responsible for the sector aquatic operations and leadership of the seasonal lifeguard program. The Lifeguard (PI) will respond to aquatic emergencies, calls for first aid and caution visitors of unsafe practices.
