About Our Job Denver International Airport is the 20th-busiest airport in the world and the 5th-busiest airport in the United States, serving 64.5 million passengers in 2018 and generating more than $26 billion for the region annually. DEN is the largest and newest commercial airport in the United States. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals who want to join our Electronic Systems Support team. As a member of our team you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of several low voltage electronic systems that impact both the flying public and the operations of the airport. You must have strong customer service skills, be willing to work efficiently, and be flexible. You will be installing, repairing, troubleshooting and diagnosing various low voltage electronic systems such as closed- circuit cameras, airfield lighting control, vehicle gate controller, security access control systems to include biometrics, fire alarms systems, computers, PLC control and signaling systems and other electronic and electrical systems. Troubleshoots, tests, diagnoses, calibrates, and performs bench and field repairs to the component level. Installs, troubleshoots, tests, and diagnoses voice, data, fiber, and coax networks. Designs and fabricates circuits and related equipment as needed to utilize existing equipment, modify applications, or resolve unusual problems. Installs and maintains power supplies, videos, alarm and signaling equipment, encoders and decoders, computer data systems, and other related communication systems. Performs preventative maintenance for electronic control and communication equipment to minimize repair problems and to meet manufacturers' specifications. Evaluates and recommends equipment purchasing as assigned. Provides training and maintenance instructions to operators or installers of specialized systems and equipment. Operates a variety of computer systems designed to monitor and/or operate specific electronic and electrical systems. Researches and prepares technical reports. Maintains records on required and completed repair work. Participation in snow removal operations is required. About You Our ideal candidate will have: Experience working with IP based systems. Experience configuring computer networks. Experience with PLC controlled systems. Experience in radio transmitting and receiving equipment. Networking background is desirable. Audio Video system experience (Axis, Panasonic, Genetec VMS Solutions Preferred) Associate degree of Electronic Technology or related field of study is desirable. Electrical background highly desirable for the Access Control Technologies Team. Hydraulic systems experience desirable for the Access Control Technologies Team. As part of our Fleet Maintenance Team you will help to maintain and repair equipment and vehicles from Harley-Davidson Police Motorcycles to Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFT) Trucks, including one of the largest and most technically advanced airport snow removal fleets in North America. This will include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting/diagnosis, repair, and overhaul of these state-of-the-art diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel vehicle and equipment assets. As an Feet Technician III you will be joining a team of entry level and seasoned mechanics, which will provide an environment for you to share and teach, as well as, learn from those that have been in the industry for several years. In this position, you can expect to: Inspect, diagnose, disassemble, remove, clean, and replace defective parts/systems, and adjust to specified performance standards for assigned fleet vehicles. Perform minor overhaul of engines and diagnose and repair engine and powertrain control systems using standard diagnostic equipment. Perform minor overhaul of front, rear, and all-wheel drive systems; manual, automatic, constant velocity transmission (CVT), electronic transmissions, standard and limited slip differentials, and electric and manual transfer cases. Diagnose and repair vehicle emission systems and prepare new units for service. Perform Colorado state emissions testing. Perform minor repair of vehicle power plants and electrical systems. Repair charging, starting, and electrical systems. Repair electronically and mechanically controlled hydraulic systems. Fabricate, weld, and repair parts using standard welding techniques and tools which includes design and installation of specialized equipment and mounting systems. Install and repair specialized safety or City-required equipment such as light bars and controls, strobes, sirens, lift frames and arrow boards, consoles, and electrical or computerized vehicle interfaces. Prepare and maintain documentation, records, and reports. Prepares inspection reports to identify and document vehicle accident damage and needed repairs. Observes all common shop safety standards.
