Assistant to the Head swim coach for the City of Spokane Aqua ducks swim team. Position runs from mid-June to mid-August including evening swim meets. Duties include but are not limited to the supervision of all swim team participants, developing seasonal goals, workouts, hosting swim meets, data entering with Meet Manager. This position will also assist with any maintenance and custodial duties along with keeping records and reports. Desired skills include: Ability to work individually and as a team member Interest and ability to work with children and have the ability to work with swimmers of all levels Have excellent communication skills [ability to answer phones, and speak with public] and decision-making skills Thorough knowledge and application of facility rules and policies Experience with computers and using HY-Tek Meet Manager software preferred Part-time 10 - 20 hours per week MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 16 years of age at time of appointment. Must have competitive swimming experience. The City of Irvine seeks an experienced and compassionate animal care professional to assist Animal Care Center Veterinarians in providing paraprofessional medical care and treatment for all animals of the Irvine Animal Care Center and to act as a lead over other animal care staff supporting clinic functions. Your Impact Functions as a lead and technical advisor to lower level animal care staff. Examines animals entering the facility to assess health and temperament and reports findings to veterinarian. Provides medical care and treatment to animals under the oral or written direction of a licensed v eterinarian, and in compliance with written medical protocols for the Animal Care Center and related laws and regulations. Assists veterinarians during surgery and by administering medical treatment to shelter animals. Performs compassionate and humane euthanasia for impounded animals as directed by veterinarian. Helps prepare and maintain animal health and related records; may monitor and maintain inventory of medications, equipment, and supplies.
