The Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council (MODDC) is seeking applications for the Operations Assistant position. This is a federally funded, senior-level office support position based out of MODDC's Central Office (Jefferson City, MO). This is a tele-work position with limited in-office work.
The base salary offered for this position is up to $52,000.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience. If the selected candidate is eligible for a pay differential, such as retention pay, the total salary may exceed what is listed in this posting.
Position performs general clerical, office, and administrative support functions, including, but not limited to:
- Provide administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel.
- Direct phone calls, emails, and mail serve as the first point of contact for the MODDC main line.
- Serve as primary editor for all MODDC website updates and maintain the "Member’s Only" section.
- Administer and update listservs, mailing lists, and contact databases.
- Coordinate and attend statewide and monthly council and team meetings - prepare agendas, minutes, and meeting follow-ups.
- Manage expense reports, invoices, and the purchasing of office supplies and equipment.
- Maintain proper filing and record-keeping systems following state and federal standards.
- Set up and provide tech support for hybrid and virtual meetings.
- Collaborate with staff and external partners/council members to handle requests and efficiently.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism in all duties.
This position is often the first point of contact for Missourians with MODDC. Successful candidates will have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Zoom, Teams, and similar online tools. The ability to make quick decisions, work efficiently under deadlines, and manage multiple assignments effectively is essential. A commitment to a strong collaborative work ethic, a poised and professional demeanor, and a passion for the success of MODDC's mission are key attributes to this position. Two years of experience as an Office Assistant with the State of Missouri or equivalent experience in office support work, and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency is preferred.
