General Scope: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for collaborating with staff and stakeholders to analyze Community Services Department business applications and processes, identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies, and implement software solutions to improve service delivery.
Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe following duties

- Monitors, maintains and updates department specific software applications to ensure systems meet business and performance needs in partnership with the Information Technology Department
- Maintains system workflows; processes, approves and/or completes data entry
- Analyzes, researches, evaluates, tests, and implements new functionality and system upgrades specific to the department
- Assesses business processes and workflows, identifying areas for automation and efficiency
- Assists in the deployment of new software solutions, including testing, training, and troubleshooting
- Analyzes system data to generate reports that support decision-making and operational efficiency
- Creates integration between and within systems to fully utilize software;developsaccurateandcompletetestplans,ensuresissuesareidentified,tracked,reportedon,andresolvedinatimelymanner,validatesthattheserviceis"fitforpurpose"andthattherequirementsarebeingmet
- Designs, maintains and distributes a variety of system reports
- Performs audits to ensure data integrity
- Completes surveys, questionnaires, and statistical reports for other agencies
- Assists in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, key performance indicators and other priorities of the Community Services Department
- Provides formal and informal training, prepares training materials, and conducts user training sessions to city staff on the use of various Community Services department software applications to ensure effective system utilization
- Leads and contributes to technology-related projects, ensuring timely and successful execution
- Calculates mathematical equations and performs statistical analysis
- Handles multiple projects simultaneously and uses good judgment in prioritizing work assignments
- Attends and/or conducts various meetings related to Community Services data and metrics
- Serves as liaison between Community Services and other departments for Community Services specific platforms
- Keeps informed with new and progressive industry standards and best practices
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications & Position RequirementsEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field and three (3) years’ experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with experience and/or knowledge of recreation programming, library, and Tyler/Munis software will be given preference in the evaluation process.

- Microsoft Office products and other relevant technologies.

12-Month Goals: - Meet with stakeholders and IT staff to establish strong working relationships.
- Analyze department needs and document system requirements.
- Prioritize and plan system enhancements with stakeholders.
- Identify process improvements and develop strategies to increase efficiency.
- Monitor changes and gather user feedback for improvements.
Additional InformationSpecial Requirements: Valid Arizona Driver’s License
Physical Demands / Work Environment: Work is typically performed in an office setting; may have the ability to work remote within policy; lift and carry weight up to 10 pounds; operate a variety of standard office equipment including a computer, telephone, calculator, copy, and fax machine requiring continuous and repetitive arm, hand, and eye movement; travel to/from meetings and various City locations.
