    Requirements

    MOS Codes: 24B (Army), 16K15 (Air Force), 2085 (Navy)

    Education and Experience : Bachelor's Degree or higher and two (2) years of business project data collection or statistical analysis experience.

    Licenses and Certificates : None

    General Purpose

    Under general supervision, analyzes a wide variety of organization data and information using statistical methods.

    Typical Duties

    Develop and implement short-term and long-term plans to meet the departmental goals and to improve public safety and health services to the community. Involves: Communicate verbally and in writing to supervisors on public safety and health-related issues and concerns. Prepare comprehensive and detailed reports. Perform research studies, feasibility studies, needs assessments, cost/benefit analysis, and management studies. Perform and review complex data analysis. Identify and evaluate patterns and trends.

    Organize and coordinate special projects including but not limited to public safety and health surveys, performance programs and strategic business plans. Involves: Apply analytical skills using statistical data to make inferences and projections. Cooperate with subject-matter experts as needed. Formulate database queries and design reports to provide statistical analysis for department management reports as requested. Prepare analysis of existing conditions and make recommendations for improvement. Use and maintain history and research files. Prepare accurate, clear and concise reports.

    Perform other duties as assigned. Involves: Assist in the proposal and development of data collection methodologies and review reports and forms to determine necessary modifications. Assess patterns to forecast future impacts and trends to inform departmental officials. Assist Divisions with developing statistical data presentations. Assist outside agencies and individuals seeking statistical information for use in planning and research.
