This position will serve as a contact for the Apprenticeship Program within the Missouri National Guard. A high level of attention to detail will be very important in this role.
Job Location: This position with the Missouri National Guard will be located at Ike Skelton Training Center, Jefferson City, MO.
- Work directly with Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Employment and Training Administrator.
- Work closely with the Officer in Charge of each unit to ensure soldier compliance and accountability in the program.
- Assist soldiers with questions about the Apprenticeship Program.
- Generate appropriate forms for soldier signature.
- Monitor the On-the-Job Learning & Training tracker to ensure accurate and complete information has been entered.
- Monitor soldiers’ training status and once completed, create and mail certificate.
- Assist other state National Guards who are implementing or inquiring about the program.
- Public outreach with colleges and high schools to help market the program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications - Three or more years of experience in clerical or general office support work; and possession of a high school diploma or GED certificate.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong oral and written communication, organization, attention to detail and problem solving skills.

- Self-starter who takes ownership of responsibilities; organized and detail oriented.
- Adaptable to change, deadlines, and working with teams.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, agency staff, and leadership.
- Experience with computers and desktop applications, including Microsoft Office products and Adobe.
