Watershed Distribution Operator I (Distribution) operates light, medium, and heavy trucks (front end loaders and tandem dump trucks) and construction equipment for transportation to and from the motor transport facility to support water distribution operation and maintenance. Loading, hauling, and unloading various equipment, materials, and supplies to and from work sites to complete active jobs.
Supervision Received Works under direct supervision and follows standardized procedures and written/verbal instructions to accomplish assigned tasks; may assist in training, orienting, or observing lower-level associate, apprentice, or semi-skilled employee in the group.

- Operates multiple vehicles and equipment throughout the workday.
- Performs preventative maintenance and inspection of equipment daily to ensure proper operations.
- Communicates with Area Superintendent and Crew Supervisor with cell phone and co-workers to receive instructions, directions, and exchange information.
- Ensures all duties assigned on the daily task sheets are completed and documented.
- Assists crew with other support on-site such as placing traffic control devices and general site cleanup.
D ecision Making Generally, operates under the specific direction of crew supervisors. May assist in the task of guiding work of less experienced employees. Selects from multiple standardized procedures, written instructions, and methods to accomplish assigned tasks.
Leadership Provided Ability to work productively on a team and provide guidance to lower-level team members as needed.

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience - High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Six (6) months of experience operating light, medium and heavy sized tandem dump truck and front-end loaders.
Licensures and Certifications - State of Georgia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B (Required)
- State of Georgia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A (Preferred)
