Salary Range: $62,880-$78,627

The City of Atlanta Department of Aviation (DOA) is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Policy Analyst to join our dynamic Sustainability team. The Sustainability Policy Analyst researches and reviews legislative matters related to sustainability, and disseminates research findings orally and in writing. This is a fully seasoned skilled level capable of independently carrying out most assignments typical of the discipline. The analyst helps to ensure the Department of Aviation (DOA) is in compliance with government sustainability regulations. The analyst also seeks out sustainability-related federal, state, city and other grants, and leads grant applications for the DOA.

Supervision Received

Works under very general supervision. May work independently or with other analysts or support team members with responsibility for completion of assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Sustainability, or related field (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis).

• 3-5 years of sustainability policy work

Preferred Education & Experience

• Master's degree in Public Administration, Sustainability. or related field (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis) with 5+ years of public sector/municipal experience.

• Knowledge of current and proposed sustainable aviation policies and regulations

• Familiarity with Sustainable Aviation Fuel and/or other aviation-related sustainability technologies

• Familiarity with GHG inventory accounting

• Extensive experience with community engagement

• Experience working with quantitative data

Licensures and Certifications

None required.
