Pay: $95,096.64
Examples of Work: - Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for Veteran care on assigned unit
- Oversee Veteran Care to promote the highest level of physical, mental and psychosocial functioning possible for assigned unit
- Direct nursing services, including oversight/review of work for assigned staff.
- Oversee the supervision, recruitment, retention, performance management, discipline, clinical instruction, and feedback to the nursing staff
- Manage unit in accordance with policy, procedure, state and federal regulations
- Participate in key factor process and development/implementation of corrective action and policies
- Meet with all 3 shifts at least once per month
- Communicate with Veterans, family, staff and/or physician regarding medical condition, customer satisfaction, admissions, and discharge
- Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure nursing team documentation meets MDS and the standards of practice
- Make rounds daily to ensure Veteran care needs and environmental standards are met
- Participate in Veteran care as needed, which could include lifting and transferring
Qualifications: - Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Missouri - in good standing
- 2+ years of experience as a registered nurse
