Heat Plant Specialist III will work under the direct supervision of the Facility Supervisor II. They will responsible for checking system functions; monitoring and /or adjusting a computerized energy managements system; adjust combustion and safety controls; adjust press and temperature gauges; take water samples and analyze chemical properties of feed water; prevent water deposits and sludge build-up. They will also be doing preventative maintenance, system maintenance, keeping system logs and be required to respond to emergencies. This position is required to be filled 24 hours a day. Shifts required are day, night and graveyard. Shifts are eight hours. Days off vary depending of the vacant shift. Earn three weeks of vacation and three weeks of sick leave every year. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Building Operations Coordinator, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for performing a wide variety of duties associated with ensuring the execution of day-to-day operations of the University Student Union’s (USU) Reservations and Event Services (RES) department, including event, equipment, and facility management. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Building Operations Coordinator, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for performing a wide variety of duties associated with ensuring the execution of day-to-day operations of the University Student Union’s (USU) Reservations and Event Services (RES) department, including event, equipment, and facility management. Position encompasses a trainee level (Range A) and a fully developed working level (Range B). While the duties performed at both levels will be similar, employees possessing little or no experience will be placed in Range A and will function, with closer supervision in a trainee capacity for six to twelve months (depending on job performance).
