The Job

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Nursing Program Coordinator who will oversee patient care, education and follow through for a specific specialty program; monitor staff and provider compliance with policy, regulatory requirements and state of the art practice in area of specialty; conduct patient assessments and initiate required testing, treatment or medication management and may perform direct patient care. The Nursing Program Coordinator will also function as liaison between services, patients and families and interact with external agencies, providers and regulatory authorities.

This recruitment is for ARMC's Burn Center . The current vacancy is for Day Shift, Monday - Friday from 8:00AM - 4:30PM.

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Shift Information: The current vacancy is for Day Shift, Monday - Friday from 8:00AM - 4:30PM. Holidays and Weekends worked as needed for Community Outreach.

Certifications: Additional certifications may be required depending on the needs of the department.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must possess all of the following:

License:
Must possess and maintain licensure as a Registered Nurse with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

Certification:

Must possess and maintain the current certifications:
  • Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Critical Care certification
  • Dysrhythmia certification


Experience: Three (3) years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital AND six (6) months of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse working in a Burn Center. Experience may be concurrent.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; be self-directed with good communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills; and possess formal public speaking experience.
