(This is not a state position)

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, full time, “non-exempt”, benefited position through June 30, 2026 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

Salary: $3,300.00 per month

Location: San Bernardino

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm though some nights, weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the SSD/WAIV Director, the Administrative Support Assistant will work independently to:

• Setting up appointments (when needed) for (SSD-WA-IV)

• Preparing student SSD (WA-IV) files

• Developing marketing and communication materials for SSD and SSD (WA-IV), including working to update and develop marketing material, social media sites for the program.

• Communications, such as answering inquiries from students, answering email communications,

answering telephone communications.

• Reviewing SSD (WA-IV), pre- SSD (WA-IV), and DOR (Department of Rehabilitation) students'

status on a monthly basis

• Assists the SSD (WA-IV) program staff with documenting progress on grant expectations,

• Prepares statistical reports for SSD Director and SSD (WA-IV) program lead, as needed.

• Represents the program by attending SSD (WA-IV)) related to meetings on and off campus

(when requested)

• Performs duties in support of the tracking, budget, and updates of the SSD (WA-IV) DOR grant,

along with supporting the SSD Director and SSD (WA-IV) program lead with keeping up to date

with DOR contractual obligations.

• Monitors, maintains, and supports the SSD WA-IV program's database

• Assist the SSD Administrative Analyst in the implementation and training of software systems

and adjustments (such as AIM) that are used both in SSD and SSD (WA-IV).

• Assists in the development and upkeep of the SSD and SSD (WA-IV) website, including making updates and adjustments as directed.

• Support SSD and SSD (WA-IV) events which include the SSD (WA-IV) Virtual Job Club,

employment fairs and events for SSD WA-IV students, and outreach and tabling for SSD.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • One year of experience in general office clerical work or one year of training in a
      vocational school/college.
  • Other:
    • Positive and professional communication skills, experience working with databases, experience
      working with websites, and experience in developing online and in-person events.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a high degree of sensitivity.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with diverse personalities and job responsibilities.
  • Have a cooperative team approach in performing the work. Working knowledge of serving students with disabilities.
  • Familiarity with basic software programs and technology.
