The Housing Authority is seeking a team-oriented candidate to perform professional accounting work, including providing audit support; analyzing and verifying fiscal records and reports; preparing and reviewing financial reports; and reconciling general ledger accounts. The Development Accounting Officer will primarily be assigned work related to real estate development activities but will perform general accounting work for the Agency as well.
AHA is particularly interested in applications from candidates with a strong track record in various aspects of accounting in the affordable housing industry including accounting in predevelopment and active development projects, particularly as AHA expands its portfolio of affordable housing units in the challenging Bay Area housing market.

The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) works with landlords, housing developers, plus various non-profit and government agencies to provide housing and related services to as many eligible families as possible. The Housing Authority currently assists approximately 4,000 individuals with housing and AHA is actively working to increase the number of affordable homes in the City of Alameda so that more low-income individuals and families can be served.
