THE POSITION THE POSITION The Department of Public Works, Parking Services Division, is seeking a Parking Meter Coin Collector to collect revenues from parking meters and parking payment kiosks owned and managed by the City of Sacramento. The Parking Meter Coin Collector will be a team player and able to perform meter collection duties including pushing/pulling a coin collection cart, operate coin collection equipment, drive a City truck, perform extensive walking for the duration of a work shift, and collect revenue from parking meters on the street and in parking facilities. Working for the City of Oakland Minimum Requirements for Application This recruitment will produce two eligible lists. The restricted list will be for full-time, permanent part-time, or part-time City and Port of Oakland employees who meet the minimum qualifications. The open list will be for all other applicants who meet the minimum qualifications. Any combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the following minimum qualifications is acceptable . Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Experience: One year work experience that would demonstrate the ability to collect and count money.
