The Senior Project Manager will assist in oversight and direction for the PMO strategy, Portfolio level projects and internal staff, manage multiple complex projects, maintain positive stakeholder relationships, and provide coaching to other OSDH Project Managers. As part of the PMO, the Senior Project Manager will work with the team to leverage resources, drive efficiencies and ensure projects are delivered on time and meet overall objectives. Duties: Maintain role of Project Manager as defined in the Job Description: Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects through full project life cycle activities utilizing appropriate methodologies and tools, planning and communication, and acquire, develop, and manage the project team. SUMMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The Senior Engineer, State of Good Repair will be responsible for working closely with consultants and other staff in the delivery of Rehabilitation projects in Metrolink’s Project Delivery group. The Senior Engineer, State of Good Repair will be a Project Manager in-charge of delivering Metrolink’s portfolio of State of Good Repair projects which may include track, structures and Signal projects and will work with Metrolink’s Maintenance department to coordinate aspects of the projects that impact maintenance and operations. To be eligible for service retirement, you must be at least age 52 and have a minimum of five (5) years of CalPERS-credited service. Upon retirement you are entitled to a monthly retirement benefit based on your years of credited service, age, and average compensation during your last three (3) years of service (“final compensation”). The retirement formula for New Members is 2%@62, which means at age 62, you receive 2 percent of your final compensation for every year of service. Upon separation from employment with less than 5 years of credited service, you may request a refund of your employee contributions only, including interest, and end your membership with CalPERS, or leave it in your account and retain your service credit should you decide to work for another CalPERS-covered agency.
