WORKING CONDITIONS Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, and turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine motor coordination when using a computer keyboard. Near vision is required when reading plans, written reports and other documents, and far vision is required when performing field work. The need to lift, carry and push tools, equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds is also required. The job duties may expose the employee to the outdoors, which may include exposure to fumes, dust, allergens, and air contaminants. Minimum Qualifications College Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate Student having completed at least one course in Civil Engineering. Positive work attitude, reliable and responsible. Good communication and writing skills Proficient computer skills with basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, Project and AutoCAD. GIS experience is a plus. Good organizational skills, detail-oriented and good record keeper. Interest in Civil Engineering and willingness to learn. Willingness to travel to various sites within the City utilizing City of Sunnyvale Vehicle. License/Certificates: Possession and continued maintenance of a valid California class C driver's license and a safe driving record.
