Description Performs work in construction, repair and maintenance of County highways, roads and rights-of-way. This position will be required to meet minimum qualifications for Maintenance Operator Trainee and successfully complete Maintenance Operator I training program. Follows directions and reports to Equipment/Maintenance Operator I, Equipment/Maintenance Operator II, Foreman, Supervisor, Assistant Director and/or Director. Works a forty (40) hour week. May require weekend and overtime hours. Examples of Duties Operates motorized equipment to include specialized machines, hand tools (shovels, rakes, axes, posthole diggers and saws) and a variety of power tools (chain saws, weed trimmers, concrete saws, packers, pneumatic drills and jackhammers).
