Job Description and Duties SENIOR MAINTENANCE AIDE (SEASONAL) - MONTEREY DISTRICT / BIG SUR SECTOR / LIMEKILN STATE PARK Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. The Senior Maintenance Aide (Seasonal) at Limekiln State Park assists with Park Operations by completing both Maintenance and Visitor Services responsibilities. The maintenance tasks include, but are not limited to, housekeeping and minor maintenance repair of State-owned grounds and structures and assisting permanent park personnel with more technical and/or difficult tasks. Other tasks include, but are not limited to, staffing the Limekiln Entrance Station, registering campers, operating the computer reservation system, explaining rules and regulations, and answering questions from the public. Training is provided. Knowledge of: The operation and/or maintenance of State facilities, basic principles of dealing with the public; good physical work methods. Ability to: Follow instructions; work independently; establish and maintain cooperative relations with the general public and other employees; use tools, supplies, and equipment appropriate for the job; computers and printers; identify problems and take corrective action.
