The Division of Emergency Management (DEM) is recruiting to fill a vacancy in the Carson City office. Management Analysts develop and implement and/or assess, manage, and review projects/programs administered by State agencies and provide technical assistance to stakeholders and partners. The incumbent will be responsibilities for the development of, and participation in, various emergency planning, training, and exercise activities; supporting the multi-year planning process; building and promoting planning partnerships between state, tribal, and local entities by establishing and maintaining effective relationships; and supporting the Threat and Hazard Identification Risk Assessment/Stakeholder Preparedness Review, ensuring core emergency management plans and documents are maintained and up to date and coordinating with schools, utilities, resorts, jurisdictions and their regulatory State agencies for statutorily required plans submissions and compliance. The incumbent collaborates with other State agencies, local jurisdictions, Tribal governments, Federal agencies, the private sector, and bordering State government agencies. This position focuses on all aspects of planning in preparedness, such as emergency operations planning, continuity of operations planning, whole community involvement, pre-disaster networking, strategic and operational planning, National Incident Management System, and the National Planning Frameworks. Activation of the Nevada Operations Center and/or local emergency operation centers may occur in the event of an emergency or disaster. All positions within the agency perform a role to support emergency operations. This may serve to disrupt or totally change all previously established work performance standards, requiring 100% of time until the emergency is over. During activation, the EOC may be operating 24 hours a day, to include weekends and holidays, for an extended period of time.
