Job Description and Duties Environmental Scientist - Colorado Desert DISTRICT / Natural Resources / Anza-Borrego Desert The reporting location for this position is Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in Borrego Springs, CA. This position will work under the direction of Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory). This position is responsible for the identification, scoping, budgeting, implementation and reporting of projects to mitigate and repair cannabis cultivation impacts through remediation and restoration, and development and implementation of protective strategies within the Colorado Desert District (CDD), which includes Anza-Borrego Desert, Cuyamaca Rancho and Palomar Mountain State Parks. This Lead position is expected to work as part of the interdisciplinary Cannabis Watershed Protection Program and will also exercise a moderate level of independent action, project oversite and field crew leadership.
