Job Description and Duties STAFF PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST - SIERRA DISTRICT / DISTRICT OFFICE / SUGAR PINE POINT STATE PARK The reporting location is Sugar Pine Point State Park in Tahoma, CA. This position will serve as Partnerships & Communications Manager for the Sierra District. Under the supervision of the Cultural Resources Program Manager and at the direction of the District Superintendent II, the Staff Park and Recreation Specialist (SPRS) manages the partnerships programs and public communications for the Sierra District. The Staff Park and Recreation Specialist is a supervisory position with oversight of the park and recreation specialists and is responsible for the critical review and high-level analysis of a wide variety of complex planning, partnership, and politically sensitive issues across the district. The Staff Park and Recreation Specialist serves as District Public Information Officer (PIO) and develops public relations efforts with sensitive District issues. The SPRS also provides a broad range of support for the other District Core Programs in managing diverse and complex projects and issues involving multi-agency, regulatory, non-profit, local and regional government, conservation organizations, tribes, foundations, cooperating associations, and volunteer programs. Job Description and Duties Park and Recreation Specialist - Inland Empire DISTRICt / Administrative Services / Lake Perris State Recreation Area The reporting location for this position is Lake Perris State Recreation Area in Perris, CA. This position will work under the close supervision of Staff Services Manager II. The incumbent will act as the District Environmental Coordinator and is responsible for processing Project Evaluation Forms and related CEQA required work. The Environmental Coordinator will also work with Real Property and participate in the District Planning efforts.
