We are looking for someone to join Team Yuma as a Water Treatment Plant Manager, working with the Department of Utilities. This ideal candidate will be responsible to manage and monitor operations at the City's Water Utility plant.
Under general supervision, plans and manages the operation, maintenance and repair of Water treatment systems and operating plants for the City of Yuma's Utilities Department; coordinates with City departments and State agencies to assure compliance with state and Federal environmental regulations and standards, and City policies, procedures and goals. Introduction This recruitment is being conducted to fill two (2) vacancies in the San Joaquin County Public Works - Utilities Division and to establish an eligible list which may be used to fill future vacancies. Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen and Background : Potential new hires into this classification are required to successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination, a pre-employment drug screen and a background investigation as a condition of employment. Certification : Must meet state education requirements for Grade 1 Operator-in-Training certification of a high school diploma or equivalent, and upon appointment, incumbents must obtain a Grade I Operator-In-Training certificate. Special Requirement : No later than two years after the first examination is given, incumbents must obtain a Grade I Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate issued by the State of California State Water Resources Control Board.
