CPS HR Consulting is pleased to be assisting the City of Rialto in their recruitment of a Building Official.

The City of Rialto, located in San Bernardino County, California, and situated below the San Bernardino mountains, is seeking a proven professional to become their next Building Official. Reporting to the Director of Community Development, the Building Official directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities and operations of the Building Services Division including inspection of building construction activities, investigation of code violations and issuance of building permits. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a strong commitment to the fair and ethical administration of regulations and codes, and who possesses excellent problem-solving skills. The ability to maintain morale and foster a positive teamwork environment as a leader within the Building Services Division is a must for the successful candidate. Strong candidates will be knowledgeable of the building codes and will be able to work successfully to resolve issues with inspectors. The ideal candidate will also possess strong oral and written communications and be able to support the goals of the Division to meet the needs of the citizens and businesses.
