Provides health information technology (HIT) system training and technical support for Partnership Health Center.
Representative Examples of Work
Researches, develops, implements, and evaluates training curriculum to ensure HIT system compliance with Federal guidelines.
Analyzes workflow to identify best practices for software use, and creates documentation for standardizing workflow and training.
Writes and updates training materials and procedures.
Trains end-users in the use of health information technologies including electronic medical records. Analyzes ongoing training needs, and provides refresher training where appropriate to help staff improve quality.
Answers user inquiries regarding software operation and resolves problems.
Tests, debugs, documents and implements new or upgraded applications or health information technology software.
Creates and runs reports to analyze quality indicators for internal and external compliance. Provides feedback on data for quality improvement.
Installs, maintains, and updates a variety of software including personal computers, server based applications, and networked client work stations. May work directly with on or off site server maintenance.
Performs related work as required or directed.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
EDUCATION: Requires a Bachelor's degree. Degrees best suited for this job are computer science and health information technology.
EXPERIENCE: Requires two years of work experience in developing and presenting training courses. Requires one year experience working with health information technology including electronic medical records.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Requires immunizations or proof of immunity to certain infectious diseases and a TB test.
