DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS This is the trainee level class in the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator series. License or Certificate: Possession of a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator In Training Certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board within 60 days of employment. Job Duties What You Will Be Doing: Operate, monitor, and maintain biological, chemical, mechanical, and hydraulic processes at wastewater treatment plants, collection system pump and regulator stations and associated facilities.
