Job Summary The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in the administration, coordination, and implementation of community redevelopment projects for the City of Greenville. This position is responsible for the development, management, and oversight of business support activities, the facilitation of communication and coordination among diverse stakeholders, and liaising for the nighttime economy. The Business Development Manager will also focus on educating stakeholders, identifying and coordinating services, reviewing policies and regulations, and conducting proactive business outreach. Organizes, stores and maintains data within the department’s electronic filing system that is both in-house and cloud-based (Dropbox/Evernote). Communicates with various economic development agencies in the state and region to collect data/information that will assist in the mission of the department. Conducts various primary research projects as needed that may include wage & benefit surveys, industry surveys, and community surveys. Assists in the routine maintenance of the department’s website that includes updating economic data, lists, documents and webpage copy. About you Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Communications, Liberal Arts or related discipline. Employees in their six (6) month New Hire probationary period who are terminated or separated from employment shall not be paid for accrued annual leave. The maximum amount of annual leave carried into each calendar year is 360 hours. Earning Rate for Full-Time Employees Full-time employees with less than ten years of continuous service earn at the rate of eight hours of paid annual leave for each month of service during a twelve months period. Full-time employees with at least ten years, but less than twenty years of continuous service will earn at the rate of ten (10) hours of paid annual leave for each month of service during a twelve month period. Full-time employees with twenty or more years of service will earn at the rate of twelve (12) hours of paid annual leave for each month of service during a twelve (12) months period. Sick Leave Full-time county employees may be entitled to earn sick leave with pay. Employees may accrue up to 1,440 hours of sick leave.
