DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS I This is the entry and basic working level in the Agricultural and Standards Inspector class series. This class is distinguished from Agricultural Biologist/Inspector II by the fact that incumbents in the Agricultural Biologist/Inspector II class perform a broader range of assignments under less guidance and supervision. II This is the first experienced working level in the Agricultural Biologist/Inspector class series. Incumbents are expected to be licensed and work in at least five of the eight fields requiring State licensing for the performance of agricultural and weights and measures inspection and enforcement work. III This is the lead and/or advanced journey level in the Agricultural Biologist/Inspector class series. Minimum Qualifications Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. In accordance with California Government Code section 3100, et., seq., all County of San Benito employees are considered disaster service workers who may be required to report for duty, or remain on duty to address disaster service activities in the event of an emergency or disaster and are required to undertake an applicable loyalty oath. Upon satisfactory service, salary increases of approximately 5% are given annually until the top of the salary range has been attained. PAY: All employees are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit into the employee's bank account. The pay period covers fourteen (14) calendar days, starting on a Sunday and ending on the second Saturday thereafter. Salaries are generally paid on the Friday following the end of the pay period.
