DEFINITION Under direct supervision, performs Community Services work in a Citywide Community Services program. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS The Recreation Leader is an Entry-level classification in the Community Services series. The employee assists in conducting Community Services program activities in area(s) of assignment. May be assigned to work directly with the public. The ability to provide a high level of customer service is extremely important. The Recreation Assistant, Recreation Leader, and Senior Recreation Leader are distinguished from one another by the level of responsibility assumed and the complexity of duties assigned.
