NATURE OF WORK: An experienced technical position assigned to the Latent Print Unit of the Crime Center and Forensic Division. This position is responsible for assisting the Latent Print Unit and the State Attorney’s Office with fingerprint comparison requests utilizing the ACE-V methodology to examine tenprint evidence, maintaining laboratory and other analysis tools, preparing reports, and providing expert testimony. This is a contract position with the Crime Center and Forensic Division of the Orlando Police Department (OPD). Examples of Duties Responsible for the analysis, documentation, receipt, comparison, and storage of tenprint evidence. Examines known record print evidence utilizing the ACE-V methodology to include Judgement and Sentencing (J&S). Maintains chain-of-custody of evidence. Assists with obtaining known record prints from live individuals as needed. Prepares and/or maintains reports, files, records, and other documentation; gathers and compiles information; and reviews work for accuracy and completeness. Provides customer service in accordance with law enforcement protocols, policies, and procedures. May conduct tenprint training as assigned. Operates AFIS/NGI. Maintains laboratory and associated equipment. Utilizes personal protective equipment according to the prescribed safety standards and regulations. Must complete the FDLE AFIS Certification within (3) months of starting. A valid Florida Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record Must pass police background investigation, which includes polygraph examination. Nature of Work: An Orlando Venues Security Agent is a vital member of the Guest Experience Division for KIA Center, Camping World Stadium, and Mennello Museum. The Security Agent’s primary roles are to observe & report and deliver legendary guest experiences. They proactively protect facilities, clients, and the public from potential hazards as well as deter theft and criminal acts with their presence. Additional responsibilities include completing written incident reports, ensuring compliance with policies & procedures, assisting pedestrians with traffic crossing, being on alert for safety issues, and handling crowd control with discretion and diplomacy. Nature of Work: Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual work involving the cleaning and maintenance of City parking facilities including cleaning windows, bathrooms, walls, offices, elevators, etc. Empties trash containers and replaces plastic liners. Performs a variety of tasks involving significant physical effort. Operates power tools and mechanical cleaning equipment. Performs maintenance tasks utilizing equipment requiring some manipulative skills. Involves performing duties under adverse conditions such as exposure to exhaust fumes , excessive noise, working in confined area, exposure to outdoor conditions including inclement weather, and standing/walking for extended periods of tim e. Work Schedule and Locatio n : Average hours vary up to 30 hours per week. Some weekends, nights and holiday work required. Schedule is subject to change based on division needs. Work locations include various parking garages in and around Downtown Orlando. Minimum Requirements Some experience in building/industrial cleaning required ; background in building repair and/or construction is preferred. V alid Florida driver license required. Candidate must also have the ability to: Read, write, and follow instructions. Work without close supervision once tasks are learned. Walk and stand for extended periods, often under hot and humid environmental conditions. Climb stairs and use ladders. Lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation. Operate pressure washer, EZ-GO, and lawnmower. VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE. NATURE OF WORK: Assist the Center Manager in the delivery of services for the Families Parks and Recreation senior program, to ensure that the safety, enrichment and financial objectives of the program and the needs of the staff, seniors, families and public are met. An employee in this classification performs specialized work in the area of enrichment and athletic programming under the direction of the FPR and or Recreation Center Manager. Work is reviewed for results obtained through reports, observation, performance evaluations and conferences. Responsibilities include leading and/or supervising a variety of educational and athletic activities, while ensuring the safety senior program and facility. Assist Manager with daily operations such as opening and closing procedures and administrative paperwork. Work is sometimes performed outdoors and employee’s are exposed to extreme heat, insects and weather conditions. Employee may be required to work evenings, weekends and holiday. Active Net Training Desired. Transport seniors to and from destinations, perform vehicle inspections, which may require bending, climbing or lifting. Operating and handling of motorized lifts, motorized scooters or walking aids. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent, plus some knowledge or experience in an organized educational, recreation or leisure services field working in various activities such as educational programs, youth sports, aquatics, cultural and therapeutic arts, health and fitness, community centers, etc. required ; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Applicant must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or state ID. First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Certification by the Florida Recreation and Park Association desired, but not required.
