Promote and coordinate specific activities within the assigned recreation program; prepare program event and facility marketing material including news releases, flyers, schedules of events, pamphlets and brochures. Oversee and schedule usage of assigned facilities including halls, recreation centers, community centers, swimming pool, City parks and sports fields; provide information and assistance to users of facilities; explaining policies, rules and regulations of facility use; monitor and inspect assigned facilities after use; schedule maintenance and secure facilities. Maintain records and develop reports concerning new or ongoing programs and program effectiveness; prepare statistical reports as required. Participate in the preparation and administration of assigned budget; submit budget recommendations; monitor expenditures. Minimum Qualifications The following minimum qualifications are required to be met at the time of application. The Program Coordinator will assist with the shelter program which provides accommodations for adults experiencing homelessness and are often times struggling with substance abuse, trauma, physical or mental health. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe and caring environment. Rather than conforming to a rigidly-defined curriculum, students are encouraged to craft a graduate study plan that meets both the core requirements of the ENST Program, and allows them to pursue courses in other departments that suit their own vocational or intellectual goals. APPOINTMENT DATE AND ACADEMIC CALENDAR The need for part-time faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall term begins in the late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term runs from the middle of January through the end of May. APPOINTMENT AND SALARY All part-time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers, under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association. Classification Range: $4,530 - $6,056 per month Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $5,405 per month The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. These performance evaluations determine which lecturers will be retained for future and continued teaching assignments. And in some instances, syllabi, assignments and reading material will be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.
