This position is responsible for supervising the Statewide Epidemiology and Rural Disease Investigation units. This position is responsible for providing high-level oversight in collaboration with the State Epidemiologist to develop statewide disease protocols for communicable, enteric, respiratory, sexually transmitted, and other diseases, along with managing day to day operations of both units. This position will also help develop a Syndromic Surveillance program statewide, and help oversee and provide feedback on all data collection systems within the Office of State Epidemiology. This position works frequently with local health departments to assist in other epidemiological activities as needed.
