MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must possess: Valid California Class C driver license -AND- DESIGNER I : One (1) year of experience performing CAD and/or GIS related work -OR- Completion of two (2) related courses (at least 6 semester units) from an accredited college or university in Engineering Design Drafting or GIS may be substituted for the required experience DESIGNER II : Three (3) years of experience performing duties equivalent to a Designer I Completion of related courses from an accredited college or university in Engineering Design Drafting or GIS may be substituted for some of the required experience where 12 semester units is equivalent to one (1) year of experience and a maximum of 18 semester units may be substituted for 1.5 years of experience DESIGNER III : Two (2) years of Districts' experience performing the duties of a Designer II -OR- Five (5) years of outside experience performing advanced level design work DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Proficiency in CAD software: Minimum one year experience with industry-standard CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation. RETIREMENT CALPERS: The Districts belong to the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), and all monthly status new hires will be enrolled in CalPERS.
