Works in a large, de-centralized network environment within a geographically diverse infrastructure supporting local and remote systems and users. Collaborates on design, configuration, and deployment of network infrastructure components for core and extended networks ensuring adherence to industry best practices and security standards. Diagnose and resolve Tier-1 and Tier-2 Helpdesk-initiated network problems using various tools and techniques. Collaborate with other IT teams to investigate and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Develop and maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Keep documentation up to date with network changes and improvements. Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and security vulnerabilities. Implement optimizations to improve network efficiency and reliability. Participate in network-related projects, providing technical expertise and guidance. Propose and implement new technologies to enhance the network. Identify opportunities for network improvement and innovation. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Two-year associate degree in a technical field of study or technical/vocational certification in networking engineering, administration, design or information systems. ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS Education: Four or more years of relevant contiguous service, project management or billing administration may substitute for technical certification or sixty semester hours of education. Experience: Four or more years of network administrator or project management, gained through internships, entry-level positions, or project-related tasks can offset educational requirements by one year. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Four-year Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in a technical or technology-related field related to Computer Science or Information Systems.
