THE POSITION Learns to perform entry-level Fire Prevention work including inspections, complaint investigations, and public information duties. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS This is the entry-level class of the Fire Prevention Officer series. Incumbents are required to undergo a comprehensive training program designed to qualify them for advancement to Fire Prevention Officer I.
