POSITION SUMMARY The Development Services Department's Building Services Division seeks a Senior Building Inspector (or Building Inspector). The Senior Building Inspector inspects new and existing building installations in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings for compliance with the Florida Building Code (FBC), High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ), safety standards, laws, ordinances and other County, State and Federal regulations and performs plan reviews as needed. Building Inspector II is distinguished from the higher-level classification of Senior Building Inspector in that the Senior Building Inspector is the advanced journey level in the series responsible for providing technical and functional supervision to Building Inspectors.
