Job Description and Duties LIFEGUARD II (SEASONAL) - BAY AREA DISTRICT / SAN FRANCISCO BAY SECTOR Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. Applicants who receive State public assistance need to identify their status as a CalWORKS recipient in the comments area on the application. This position works under the supervision of the State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger or Lifeguard). The reporting location is Angel Island State Park. Primary responsibilities include performing first aid and CPR as needed, detecting and rescuing persons or vessels in distress, educating visitors about rules and regulations, providing daily leadership for the Lifeguard I (Seasonal) staff and working as a deckhand on State Park vessels, with an emphasis on assisting peace officers with a wide variety of medical emergencies.
