Under general direction, the incumbent is responsible for managing, administering and supervising the operations of the two districts in the southern region. Because the region is limited in geographical area, the position functions as both the Battalion Chief and Fire Management Officer. This position is the Fire Management Officer for the Southern Region. The incumbent will provide operational direction, training and supervision to assigned staff. This position is responsible for the program budget for the Southern Region; grant administration; coordination of planning, preventing and suppression operations in cooperation with other NDF staff, dispatch centers and other fire agencies and cooperators.
