DEFINITION: Provides standard (set treatment plan) rehabilitative therapy and nursing treatment for patients with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. Essential Job Functions Assists/supervises patients in performing their activities of daily living, e.g., dressing, bathing, feeding, personal hygiene and household chores, including the use of appropriate adaptive equipment, and performs adaptive techniques appropriate for patients based on the treatment plan. Follows established bowel and bladder management programs, e.g., following planned bowel and bladder schedule and making appropriate interventions, within established parameters. Follows established training protocols for transfer by assisting the patients in the transfer, wheelchair mobility, and/or ambulation training of patients; implements behavioral and safety measures, such as use of supportive devices and restraints, and directs the patient in the sequence of a transfer.
