Full-time position available with KC Water Asset Management and GIS Division located at 4800 E. 63rd Street.
Salary Range: $4,945-$8,833/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

As a key member of the KC Water Asset Management Team, the GIS and Data Manager is responsible for integrating and managing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support the long term strategic goals of KC Water via the following: Enhancement and integration of GIS applications for use in project planning, implementation, maintenance and measurement; Management of department GIS resources and overseeing records management; Analyzing industry trends and technologies to implement practical solutions for the improvement and maintenance of Kansas City's water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure data; Integration of GIS applications with department-wide technologies and information systems to improve asset risk assessment activities; Maintenance of ESRI software products; Development activities including, analysis, design, integration, verification, configuration management, maintenance support and product documentation; Coordination with other city departments and offices, as needed, to successfully execute projects and to provide updates and reports to key stakeholders; Supervision of staff to successfully execute projects and achieve key performance indicators established by KC Water. The supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing approximately 20 employees, conducting performance evaluations and administering disciplinary actions, as well as interviewing, hiring and training employees and planning, assigning and directing work.
