Job Description and Duties LABORER (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) - DISTRICT FACILITIES MANAGEMENT / McCLELLAN The reporting location for this position is 4940 Lang Avenue in McClellan, CA. This position will work under the supervision of Park Maintenance Chief II. The Laborer is required to work in park units throughout the state, as assigned and based on operational need. The Laborer will perform heavy manual labor, work with hand and power tools, perform miscellaneous unskilled tasks, perform rough repair work, maintain drainage structures. This position will frequently work from remote locations to efficiently complete task assignments; will require to work nights, weekends and odd hours and overtime in accomplishment of assigned tasks. This position will also spike camp at work sites outside throughout the State. This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. Job Summary Under the direct supervision of Associate Director for Facilities Operations, the Laborer primarily performs general unskilled manual labor, which includes a variety of general repair work and preventive maintenance that does not require journey-level skills, assisting with moving/relocation scheduled work requests, uses powered or non-powered cleaning and materials handling equipment and delivery trucks.
