Essential Job Functions Meets with the executive team for training on the pressing issues confronting 21st Century prosecutors. Incumbents provide administrative support for court proceedings and solve diverse problems with witnesses while working with deputy district attorneys, judges, investigators, law enforcement personnel, court and medical personnel, Los Angeles County personnel, outside vendors, and the public. Persuades victims/witnesses, police officers, fire fighters, and medical personnel to appear in court as scheduled and rescheduled. Evaluates the commitment of witnesses to testify by regular telephone conversations. Notifies attorneys and investigators of problems or conflicts (e.g., uncooperative victims/witnesses) and recommends solutions. Mental Health Access Line & Care Management Unit: The Program Manager over the Mental Health Access Line and Care Management unit oversees and monitors the delivery of mental health services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries county-wide. The Access Line is the main entry point into the system of care where callers are screened and referred for mental health services. The Care Management Unit is responsible for utilization management, ensuring the quality of care, recruiting, contracting, and monitoring network providers, and paying outpatient and inpatient provider claims. EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP): The City cares about the emotional and physical well-being of its employees and their families and offers a City paid Employee Assistance Program. AUTO ALLOWANCE: Department Heads and Division Heads who have a personal vehicle at the work site available for use and provide proof of automobile insurance to Personnel are eligible to receive a monthly auto allowance. Department Heads shall receive $450 per month and Division Heads shall receive $350 per month.
