TAS Los Angeles is seeking an experienced airport GSE Mechanic with Diesel experience to join their maintenance team at LAX.

Mechanic is responsible for Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on all airport ground support equipment, vehicles, and other related equipment. The role of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic is to ensure the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of all TAS GSE, vehicles, and other related service equipment while effectively demonstrating TAS organizational guidelines as defined in our Best in Class program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

GSE Mechanic is responsible to:
Maintains, services, and repairs all ground support equipment, such as: portable stairs, fuel and diesel trucks, aircraft tugs, belt loaders, company automobiles, deck loaders, tow tractors, main deck loaders, lower deck loaders, cargogas/electric tractors, etc.Repair and maintain Perkins Diesel, Detroit Diesel and Deutz Diesel engines.Perform trouble shooting of equipment.Perform preventive and routine maintenance including ensuring the equipment is in safe operating condition.Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions using electrical and hydraulic schematics with test equipment is required.Repairing, reconditioning, refurbishing and maintaining ground support equipmentcomponents as needed.Provide trouble-shooting and diagnostic assessment of ground support equipment asrequiredModify and overhaul power plant, drive-train, brake, electric and hydraulic systemsPlanning and control costs of repair jobs.Maintain company equipment; keep in clean and orderly condition.Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI's).Communicate orally and in writing information, instructions and explanations to associates andmanagement regarding equipment conditions, problems and recommendations.Work safe at all time. Adhere to all applicable TAS safety policies. Comply with all TAS company policies, procedures and standards.Perform any other duties as assigned.

Experience Knowledge of airport Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and airport operations 3-6 years. Must Possess a valid driver license.
Prefer technician to own and maintain required personal tools and test equipment to perform their job.
