SUMMARY OF POSITION Under general supervision, performs line locating services on the entire water distribution and wastewater collection system owned and operated by the City of McKinney. Employees in this classification perform technical, manual work. This position is responsible for locating water/wastewater mains and services as requested by utility contractors, Dig Tess, or City personnel. Assist with repairs and installation of the water and wastewater system, and operates and maintains moderate to complex equipment. Performs related work as required. Performs and assists in the maintenance, installation, and repair of water/wastewater utility lines as needed. Maintains/upgrades manholes. Operates jet flusher and dump truck.
