The Sanitation Districts are currently recruiting to fill a Systems Analyst position in the Facilities Planning Department.

LOCATION:
FACILITIES PLANNING DEPARTMENT, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECTION, TECHNICAL SERVICES GROUP, JOINT ADMINISTRATION OFFICE, WHITTIER


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform complex and technical analyses, design, programming and support of the Districts' computing infrastructure and enterprise systems.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a Supervising Systems Analyst or higher classification, and technical guidance from a Senior Systems Analyst, the incumbent will implement, administer and maintain enterprise systems in the following areas: cloud-based Microsoft Office 365 suite, physical and virtual desktops, mobile devices, physical and virtual servers, systems security, storage management, backup and recovery, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software. The incumbent will perform problem determination and resolution; performance monitoring and tuning; enforce security policies and comply with established service level agreements; provide technical assistance and guidance to Information Technology staff and user groups; coordinate systems integration; produce and maintain system documentation; mentor staff for knowledge transfer; proactively research and recommend new technologies; consult with vendors to resolve software and hardware problems; and perform other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess a valid California Class C driver license; - AND - A bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; - AND - Option 1: One year of experience as a Programmer Analyst; - OR - Option 2: Four years of related experience installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining complex computer, network and telecommunication systems; - OR - Option 3: Four years of related experience in applications design and programming analysis support. A master's degree in computer science or closely related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. For Systems Analyst II: One year of experience as a Systems Analyst I at the County Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Overall experience of 5+ years managing enterprise servers, desktops and mobile devices with Windows, macOS and iOS operating systems; VMware; CitrixApplication Delivery Controller, Virtual Desktops and Endpoint Management; security policy; network storage and backup infrastructure; COTS software; 3+ years of hands-on management experience with cloud-based Office 365 suite, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Exchange Online; System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM); proficient in troubleshooting and PowerShell scripting; strong project management and analytical skills; effective communication and interpersonal skills.
