What you will be doing: Facility Attendants provide supervision of the community center during classes and rentals; set up and take down chairs, tables, equipment; and perform light custodial services. The Facility Attendant must be able to provide a high level of support to customers and ensure the safety of the people and property by effectively enforcing policies and procedures. The Facility Attendant II is distinguished from the Facility Attendant I in that the Facility Attendant II performs duties independently. All positions are part time, limited service. Directly provide custodial support, security, and responsiveness to facility guests’ needs by cleaning, performing events/program/class setups, strikes, and locking/ unlocking of the facility. Flexible work shifts are required and may include early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends. Performs varied maintenance and custodial work at the Chilson Recreation/Senior Center. Description Volunteer Opportunities Why Volunteer? Volunteers are essential to providing quality services to the residents of our community. Community members of all ages are encouraged to show pride and get involved in civic activities through volunteer work within the City of Santa Clara. Who Volunteers? Community members 13 years of age and older are encouraged to volunteer in any number of programs, activities, or events sponsored by the City of Santa Clara. How Do I Become a Volunteer? Anyone interested in volunteering for the City must first complete and submit an online City volunteer application. In addition, a signed Release of Liability form must be completed and submitted.
