Job Description and Duties PARK MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT - CENTRAL VALLEY DISTRICT/ FOUR RIVERS SECTOR/ DOS RIOS RANCH This position is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire. The reporting location for this position is California State Park's newest park at Dos Rios Ranch in Modesto, CA. The position may report to San Luis Reservoir SRA until infrastructure is in place at Dos Rios Ranch. This position will work under the Supervison of the Park Maintenance Supervisor. The incumbent will work closely with other Sector and District staff to insure the district successfully carries out our Mission. The Park Maintenance Assistant will do routine cleanup and maintenance; performs various housekeeping, grounds keeping and minor maintenance tasks; answers routine questions from the public as necessary; completes miscellaneous reports; leads and trains less experienced maintenance personnel in housekeeping and minor grounds work. May lead a crew of seasonal employees doing cleanup and other unskilled work during peak seasons. The incumbent’s work schedule will be Thursday to Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This position is designated as not telework eligible. This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license.
