This position will work approximately 16 to 19 hours per week, including Fridays.The eligibility list established from this recruitment may be used to fill future Student Aide vacancies as they occur.

The first part of the selection process is a complete evaluation of the application. Those candidates deemed most qualified in their application will be invited to a written examination. Top scoring candidates who pass the examination will be invited to an oral panel interview.

DEFINITION: To perform a wide variety of responsible and difficult clerical work in support of the function to which assigned; to provide word processing and data entry support; and to provide information and assistance to the public and staff regarding departmental policies and procedures.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED: Receives general supervision from supervisory staff, professional, technical or secretarial staff.

Experience & Education and License/Certificate

A combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience: Six (6) months of clerical, receptionist, and/or office support experience.

Education: High school graduation or equivalent with current enrollment or recent completion of a degree or certification program.

License/Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver's license.
