Position Description DEFINITION AND DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Under direct supervision, assists with the collection, recording, maintenance, and updating of property appraisal data; performs routine on-site inspections of real and personal property; assists with the preparation of the county assessment roll; Performs a variety of paraprofessional duties necessary to the appraisal of real or personal property for taxation purposes. This is a paraprofessional class in which an incumbent performs routine appraisal tasks to assist professional appraisal staff. This class differs from that of Appraiser I in that the latter is the entry level into the professional Appraiser series. Example of Duties Assembles records, forms, maps and appraisal data in preparation for review by appraisal staff. Conducts field inspections of land, structures and improvements to collect and verify real property data.
