Job Description

Please note: This recruitment is being established to obtain a current eligible list for Extra-Help vacancies. Extra-Help are not entitled to county benefits and are limited to 25 hours a week.

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Assist with sample ballot mailings
  • Assists with precinct worker training
  • Survey Merced County polling locations for accessibility issues pursuant to Americans with Disability Act requirements; maintain records of Temporary Mitigations required by site location
  • Organize and/or assist with the storage and maintenance of election equipment and supplies
  • May be required to operate a forklift (certification training provided by Merced County)
  • Responsible for delivery of voting booths and supplies before and after elections
  • Assists with logic & accuracy testing of equipment
  • May be assigned to troubleshoot election equipment and precinct issues on election day


Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
One (1) year of warehouse or delivery experience.

Education:
Equivalent to graduation from high school.

License:
Possess a valid California driver's license at time of appointment and maintain.
